Description:
This course is designed to enhance the knowledge of radiographers and mammography technologists. This course will discuss breast anatomy and physiology, breast self-examination, mammography and breast imaging methods for the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. The facts of breast cancer, along with different types of breast lumps and conditions, treatment options, breast reconstructions are presented. The course also explores breast cancer from the patient’s aspect.
This course includes A Woman's Decision - Breast Cancer, Treatment and Reconstruction by Berger and Bostwick as the textbook and a posttest with 120 multiple-choice questions.
This course is approved by the ASRT until 9/1/2012.
