The Primary Facts of Mammography
This course is designed to provide a review of the important facts that influence mammography and breast imaging. This course will discuss breast anatomy and physiology, breast self-examination, mammography and breast imaging methods for the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. Breast imaging with different modalities, interventional procedures, the facts of breast cancer, along with different types of breast lumps and conditions, treatment options, breast reconstructions are presented. The course also defines the MQSA guidelines, along with quality assurance program and the imaging chain.
This course includes Mammography & Breast Imaging Just the Facts by Olive Peart as the textbook and a posttest with 120 multiple-choice questions.
This course is approved by the ASRT until 9/1/2012.
